You must be 18 or older to use CarSwap.
What CarSwap Is
CarSwap is a matching and reservation board for the Tecate, MX → US border crossing. It shows participating drivers' approximate position in the crossing line and lets buyers reserve a spot with a driver. That's it.
No Payments on This Site
CarSwap does not process, hold, or collect any payment, deposit, or fee of any kind. Every reservation is free to make. When a buyer and driver agree to swap, payment is made directly between them, in person, in cash. CarSwap is not a party to that payment and has no visibility into its amount or terms.
How a Reservation Works
Reserving a car's spot creates a temporary hold and a reservation code. The hold expires automatically after a set window if it isn't confirmed, and the car returns to the board for other buyers. A reservation is not a contract with CarSwap and does not guarantee that any specific driver will complete a swap with you.
What CarSwap Is Not Responsible For
CarSwap is not responsible for the swap itself — whether it happens, the condition of any vehicle, the conduct of any driver or buyer, or any dispute over cash payment made in person. Buyers and drivers deal with each other directly and are responsible for their own arrangement.
Follow the Rules of the Crossing
Users are responsible for following all local laws, regulations, and the rules of the Tecate crossing and any relevant border authority. CarSwap does not authorize, encourage, or provide any means of avoiding or evading any law, rule, or official at the crossing. The service operates in the open: a spot-swap is one car leaving the line and another taking its place — the total number of cars in line never changes.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use CarSwap honestly — accurate contact information when reserving, and no attempt to abuse, scrape, or disrupt the board. CarSwap may remove listings, cancel reservations, or restrict access at its discretion.
Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of CarSwap after a change means you accept the updated terms.
